A community leader in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, Malam Saina Buba has called on the state and the federal government to as a matter of urgency come to the rescue of people affected by the Boko Haram insurgency, particularly those living in local governments like Gwoza, Damboa, Bama, konduga and Abadam in northern Borno.
Saina said many people lost everything they had to Boko Haram and that feeding had become a problem.
He disclosed that some of them are beginning to throw away their children to the welfare house.
“I am calling on the government of Borno State particularly to intervene on the hunger crises we are facing in the state.

The Rivers State Police Command has released the 320 suspected members of Boko Haram sect.
The suspects were released around 3.45pm on Wednesday on the directive of the State Police Commissioner, Mr. Joseph Mbu.

Edo Police Parades 55 Suspected Kidnappers, Armed Robbers in Nigeria

Edo State Police Command has paraded 55 suspects for various acts of criminality among whom are twelve kidnap suspects.
Other suspects paraded were alleged to be involved in defilement, attempted murder, rape, unlawful possession of fire arms and armed robbery.
The Edo State Commissioner of Police, Folusho Adebanjo assured residents of the state of their security as the his command is winning the war against criminality in the state.
“We are not relenting. The job of protecting our people is a tough one. But we are doing our best to ensure we work day and night. Even though these criminals are giving us a lot of problems, we will continue to pursue them until we apprehend them.”

Boko Haram moving to Lagos Rivers & Ogun state



The Boko Haram is gradually moving down south to Lagos, Ogun, and Rivers  state, following the extensive military onslaught against it in the North-East geo-political zone, Senator Babafemi Ojodu (ACN Ekiti) has disclosed.

Nigerian Army, yesterday, in Lagos, paraded 42 suspected members of Boko Haram sect arrested in their hideouts in Lagos and Ogun states environs.
Some of the paraded suspects confessed to have killed soldiers and civilians in the northern parts of the country (Nigeria).
